Telegram

In addition to our event listing we created a telegram channel and a telegram group. The channel will be used to post a weekly summary of all upcomming events and important information. In the group all members can post messages and converse freely. (Your phone number will not be shared in telegram.)

Etiquette

Be kind. Don't be snarky. Have curious conversation; don't cross-examine. Please don't fulminate. Please don't sneer, including at the rest of the community. (Sei freundlich. Sei nicht schnippisch. Führe ein neugieriges Gespräch und nehme keine Kreuzverhöre vor. Wenn dich etwas emotional stark bewegt, lieber drei Mal tief durchatmen anstatt durchzudrehen. Bitte spare dir deinen Spott, insbesondere gegenüber dem Rest der Gemeinschaft.)

Comments should get more thoughtful and substantive, not less, as a topic gets more divisive. (Kommentare sollten überlegter und substanzieller werden, nicht oberflächlicher, wenn ein Thema kontroverser wird.)

When disagreeing, please reply to the argument instead of calling names. "That is idiotic; 1 + 1 is 2, not 3" can be shortened to "1 + 1 is 2, not 3." (Wenn du anderer Meinung bist, antworte bitte auf das Argument, anstatt zu Beschimpfen. "Das ist idiotisch; 1 + 1 ist 2, nicht 3" kann zu "1 + 1 ist 2, nicht 3" verkürzt werden.)

Please respond to the strongest plausible interpretation of what someone says, not a weaker one that's easier to criticize. Assume good faith. (Bitte antworte auf die stärkste plausible Interpretation dessen, was jemand sagt, und nicht auf eine schwächere, die leichter zu kritisieren ist. Setze Gutwilligkeit voraus.)

Eschew flamebait. Don't introduce flamewar topics unless you have something genuinely new to say. Avoid unrelated controversies and generic tangents. (Halte dich mit bewusst provokativen Aussagen und Flame-War-Themen zurück, außer du hast etwas wirklich neues und wichtiges zu sagen. Vermeide unzusammenhängende Kontroversen und zu allgemeine Aspekte.)

Please don't post shallow dismissals, especially of other people's work. A good critical comment teaches us something. (Veröffentliche bitte keine oberflächlichen Kritiken, besonders nicht von der Arbeit anderer Leute. Ein guter kritischer Kommentar lehrt uns etwas.)

Please don't use keepitrollin for political or ideological battle. It spoils curiosity and we are here for the music. (Bitte benutze keepitrollin nicht für politische oder ideologische Kämpfe. Das verdirbt die Neugier und wir sind wegen der Musik hier.)
