Nach einem knappen halben Jahr ist es endlich wieder Zeit für eine IMPULSE BASSKULTUR in unserem geliebten Gretchen! Im Frühling haben wir deshalb einen ganz besonderen (und tiefgründigen) Leckerbissen für Euch:
Zu Gast sind diesmal SORSE aus Dresden! Das Duo bereichert schon seit einigen Jahren die Basskultur mit seinem deepen und experimentellen 170er Sound. Veröffentlichungen auf Labels wie MODERN CONVENIENCES, NONE60, SQUARES MUSIC und ELEMENTÄR zementieren das musikalische Fundament, von dem aus sie hoffentlich auch in Zukunft noch viele Exkursionen in unbekannte Klanggefilde unternehmen werden. Ihr Faible für analoge Synthesizer und Hardware ist in ihren Produktionen deutlich hörbar, die alle durch viel Liebe zum Detail bestechen. Wir sind also sehr gespannt, auf welche Reise uns SORSE in dieser Nacht mitnehmen werden! Let's go!
Auch OME ist kein Unbekannter in der Bassmusikszene und wird an diesem Abend ein B2B-Set mit unserem IMPULSE-Gangmitglied ALLLONE spielen. Die beiden gehen schon länger einen gemeinsamen musikalischen Weg, der sie durch (fast) alle Ecken der Bassmusikwelt geführt hat. Von Dubstep bis Footwork und zurück, mit einem Umweg über Breakcore und Hip-Hop, findet sich all das (und noch viel mehr) in ihrem basslastigen Repertoire. Wir freuen uns deshalb umso mehr, an diesem Abend einen musikalischen Reisebericht mit den beiden feiern zu dürfen! Pull up!
SAIMAN und TURRICAN dürfen in dieser Nacht natürlich auch nicht fehlen und werden wie gewohnt den Rahmen für unsere Gäste bilden. Beide bestechen mit einem ganz unterschiedlichen Sound, der jeweils eigene Akzente setzt; im Zusammenspiel haben sie so IMPULSE BASSKULTUR über die Jahre zu dem gemacht, was es heute ist: ein Ort der basslastigen Vielfalt.
Auf dem Mainfloor des Gretchen heißt es an diesem Abend: Legendenalarm! Niemand Geringeres als LTJ BUKEM – einer der bekanntesten Köpfe des DNB-Movements der 1990er Jahre – wird sich die Ehre geben. Zusammen mit GEST, SURVEY, N'DEE, RUTHLESS MC und MC JAMIE WHITE verspricht somit auch der Hauptraum des Gretchen etwas ganz Besonderes für Bass Liebhaber*Innen zu werden!

After a brief six months, it’s finally time for another IMPULSE BASSKULTUR in our beloved Gretchen!
This spring, we have a very special (and profound) treat for you: joining us this time are SORSE from Dresden! The duo has been enriching the bass culture for several years with their deep and experimental 170 BPM sound. Releases on labels such as MODERN CONVENIENCES, NONE60, SQUARES MUSIC, and ELEMENTÄR solidify the musical foundation from which they will hopefully embark on many more excursions into unknown sonic realms in the future. Their passion for analog synthesizers and hardware is clearly audible in their productions, all of which shine with great attention to detail. We are very excited to see what kind of journey SORSE will take us on that night! Let’s go!
OME is also no stranger to the bass music scene and will be playing a B2B set with our IMPULSE gang member ALLLONE that evening. The two have been on a shared musical path for some time now, taking them through (almost) every corner of the bass music world. From Dubstep to Footwork and back again, with a detour through Breakcore and Hip-Hop, all of this (and much more) can be found in their bass-heavy repertoire. Therefore, we are even more thrilled to celebrate a musical travelogue with these two that night! Pull up!
SAIMAN and TURRICAN will also be present that night, as always providing the framework for our guests. Both stand out with their distinct sounds, each setting its own accents; together they have shaped IMPULSE BASSKULTUR over the years into what it is today: a place of bass heavy diversity.
On the main floor of Gretchen that evening, it’s going to be legends alert! None other than LTJ BUKEM – one of the most renowned figures of the DNB movement in the 1990s – will grace us with his presence. Together with GEST, SURVEY, N'DEE, RUTHLESS MC, and MC JAMIE WHITE, the main room at Gretchen promises to be something truly special for bass lovers!
